Vinha Grande is the second oldest wine of the Douro Valley (behind Barca Velha) and its heritage is noticeable in every sip. With a deep ruby colour, it is a wine that reveals an intense and complex aroma. Highlights include the balsamic components of cedar and tobacco box, floral cistus and resin, and red fruits such as blackberry and gooseberry. It also reveals black fruits, namely plums, always in good integration with discreet wood. In the mouth it has a good volume, lively acidity and firm tannins. Its finish is long and balanced.
