I am not exagerating when I say I’ve been looking for these for about 40 years. When I was a a child I remember going to Braamfontein with my mother. I remember it was a cold, rainy morning and stopped at a little restaurant/coffee shop. And my mother got me a bag of Doodle Nuts. Until now, it was the only bag I ever ate and I would never ever forget them. They’re such a simple snack but there’s just something about them. Something that made them stick with me for 4 decades. But I thought they were called Boodle Nuts so could never find them. And purely by chance I stumbled onto a picture of corn nuts and the proper name, Doodle Nuts. A quick Google pointed me here. I was like a kid at Christmas and so excited I ordered 10 packets. I just got them, opened a bag and had my first Doodle Nut in years. I was not disappointed. they are just as good as I remember. These little bags are filled with nostalgia and I’m genuinely so happy. The only problem is now that I’ve found them, controlling how often I order them.
